We just found out the gender of the baby today. Ima have me a son! Stacy and I are a bit shell-shocked from the news. We both expected it to be another girl. We should have known better, though. Stacy's grandmother, who has never been wrong yet, predicted a boy. Plus, our house is completely geared towards girls, so naturally, the funniest thing the Universe could do would be to give us a boy.
I'm excited, though. I never expected to have a son to pass my line down to. It's going to be great. Now the estrogen will be balanced just a little bit by some testosterone.

You're funny Scott.
I am assuming that it is the shell shock not having worn off yet...because, as hard as it might be to imagine, it would take a lot more than one little boy to balance the estrogen in your house!!!!
That boy of yours is going to find himself dressing in tutus, getting his toes painted, and playing with barbies FOR SURE!!
What I want to know is what happens when the next two kids you have are also boys (which, this MIGHT help balance you out just a little!)?
Denise you are such a evil evil women. I think if that happens I need to finish school first so we can afford to buy a bigger house.
Granted, the introduction of a boy into the mix won't be likely to bring down the levels of estrogen, but, given that it's Scott's son (That is a given, right?), there will be a marked increase in the levels of poindextrose and nerdosterone.
Anyway, congrats once again.
Denise, you're right, it won't balance things completely, but it will throw off the positive glut of estrogen floating around here. Oh, and before you start wishing a plethora of kids on other people, don't you think you should get your baby factory under control yourself? ;-P
Jon, don't forget Vitamin Geek, Dweebotren, and Beta Spazotene.
BTW, poindextrose? Brilliant.
Sadly, I can't lay claim to poindextrose - that honor goes to Lisa Simpson.
Congrats on the boy!! I just hope you dont get estrogen poisoning in the mean time LOL. Now you'll have a Minnie you
Scott, I knew it! I JUST KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO GET YOUR BOY THIS TIME, and give me a 2nd grandson! Little Samuel Scott Hawks? Let them kid you all they want; We know that he is going to be one awesome little guy. "Barbie dolls" indeed! of course, being the good brother he well be, he will "play with his sisters :)
Thanks Dan and Mom. We've decided against Sam, since we know she's still waiting to come down. We haven't settled on a name yet.
